Europeans on their way to South Africa’s 6 star WQS Mr Price Pro!

The summer is eventually here, and the kick off of the crucial period for our european contingent is underway. After a series of very good results in the first half of the year, Europe’s rising surfers are already on their way to South Africa for the historical event of Durban, the Mr Price Pro, a 6 Star WQS offering $ 125 000 of prizemoney to the best surfers of the planet.

What can the european guard expect from this opening summer event? Joining 19-year-old phenomenon Jérémy Flores (Fra) who just flew out from Chile this week after his 17th place in the Rip Curl Pro Search, our european leaders with Tiago Pires (Prt) on top of the pack, are all ready to confirm their amazing start and will try hard to secure more points on the very good quality beachbreaks of Durban’s beaches.

Every year, the Mr Price Pro World Qualifying Series event welcomes top surfers from all corners of the globe, including many of the Foster’s ASP World Tour as CJ Hobgood (Usa), Adriano De Souza (Bra) or locals Greg Emslie (Zaf) and Travis Logie (Zaf). The whole WQS army will thus face the best, and the high level clash might bring on some big action from next weekend.

With big upsets awaited, and our top europeans ready to snake into the ratings’ top 15, we can hope to see the rise of the old continent keep going, knowing most of our leaders can better their worse results in South Africa and better their points’ total towards the ultimate goal, the “Dream Tour”.

The event will be live at www.aspworldtour.com, so don’t miss all the action and make sure you support our crew travelling around the world to offer us the best surfing possible.
Stay tuned from June 29th to July 8th for the show.
